A 28-year-old man, Alexander Hamidu, on Thursday in Lagos pleaded guilty of possessing a fake Nigerian Army pass.
Hamidu, a resident of Apapa, Lagos, admitted before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court that he was apprehended with the pass by policemen on a `stop and search’ operation.
Earlier the Prosecutor, Cpl. Michael Unnah, submitted that the accused was found in possession of the fake document bearing the name of one Nuhu Danbaba.
He said that the accused possessed the document on April 27 in contravention of Section 328 (d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Senior Magistrate M. Owumi, will on Friday sentence the accused on the one-count charge.
Owumi ordered that the accused should be remanded in the Kirikiri Prisons until his sentencing.
