There is an Igbo proverb that you praise a great man, he will do more. In that light, I thank Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State so much for the successful completion of Okota Road Phase one. At the beginning, we thought that the project was abandoned but thank God today it has become a reality, courtesy of the state government’s steadfastness and foresight.
However, the good soup will not go down well if it is not properly cooked till the end; that means, the second phase needs the governor’s great touch. People living in that part of the road pass through hell going in and out for their daily bread pursuits. In their mind is, when shall Fashola remember the m again. Even schoolchildren that ply the road are singing the same song,
I therefore use this medium to appeal to the state governor to remember Okota people and the road.
They have suffered so much and are praying to the governor to help them.
